Although I think I am ready for the race, .1) I need to raise $100 a day for three days, 2.) get my biking outfit so I dont look like Joey from blossom on a bike with my flannel and jeans. 3.) Get my bike functional 4.) everything...just about everything....oh and register for the race. Who knows...Its going to be awesome. I can't wait

Day 25

Today I worked the treadmill with Olivia and Dad at my gym. It started out at pleasant enough I was watching dancing with the stars, some form of CSI and many commercials for Num3ers without sound mind you because I don't bring my headphones. Anyway internets Moomama and I got into a little bit of a healthy comptition. She started running surpassing the distance I ran, so I started running...running so fast to catch up that my feet could'nt keep up. Well, sopicid...Sopisid...suffice it to say I won that race.

Day 24

Today I got a serious workout with Jason, Joshua, and Dad by moving Jasons entire apartments contents down 3 floors and into his new place, it was about 90 degrees out and I was wearing jeans. It was weird because I was soaking wet by the end of it, the weird part being im in perfect shape so why all the sweat around my lovehandles? I later realized I gotta cool it on my nonstop training or this photo is my future, for some reason in the future I also have Guiles hairdo.

Day 23 I'm blowin it

Today I went to Celtic fest in Bethlehem, and it was pretty fun. I ate chicken fingers, pizza, fries, munchkins, cookies, shortbread, cotton candy, a hoagie.....oh my god I have a 100 mile race in 7 days. The above photo is the actual moment I realized this.

Day 22 "I have forgiven Rob Morrow"

Today I was inactive, although I worked a 9 hour manual labor day and was covered in mud up to my knees. I forgot to tell you that yesterday at the gym me and dad worked the treadmill so hard....it ended up kind of embarrassing though , because I was so thin, tired, and weak dad had to carry me out of the gym. The below video was taken by the gym security video. So embarrassing.

Day 21

I found a checklist on the internet titled "A Guide on How to Train for Bicycle Racing" lets see how I'm doing shall we

Day 20

I think all the training has caught up to me. The other day I woke up so stiff I had Mary push on my back to crack it, when she did I almost stopped breathing. My muscles hurt, I'm tired, I'm hungry, I'm dizzy......but will I quit....no way. Why you may ask, because I am a champion and I will never ERVrxx2ecx2er4fx4fxcg3tr67777c$3457777crcq3rfcrc77r7777qfc@@
Whoops I just feel asleep on the keyboard.

Day 18

Here is an actual note of how I should prepare for the race, I wrote it at work and left it there over the weekened. Pretend for a moment you don't know what I am doing and you're my boss and you find this sitting on my desk.

Day 17

Tommorow is Jacob's birthday, and Olivia brought up a good point "What does a guy training for the race of his life do". Well I came up with a special birthday regiment.

1.) Run up and down the stairs to wrap gifts.

2.) Watch Jacob open gifts on the floor, then do a push up to get up.

3.) Jump up and down when playing Rock band

4.) Flex arm muscles when raising my fork to eat cake.

This should tide me over, until I get back to the gym.

Remember: *Ask Mommom if she can cut me a check for $300.00

Day 16: Doomsday

I have to come clean today I was going to fix my bike and start biking in the dark without reflectors around the neighborhood. But instead I was the character you see above. At first I felt guilty for not doing anything related to training what so ever. Thats what I thought at first.....but man that game is so fun... I sang you outta know by alanis morrisett, Bob Seeger, the entire Ten album from Pearl Jam and Santoria from Sublime, it was great I sang for 3 hours. So maybe I did train if laughter and sounding good is a form of training.

Day 15

I posted this photo so that when a search party looks for me there are some pin points where I "should" be located. *Note: 100 Miles is from here to Strasburg Railroad.
Things brought to my attention today:
1.) I need to raise $300 in 15 days in order for me to join this means I need to raise $20 a day for 15 days, it further means either a "tessa needs pants" sign up poster needs to be hung, or a giant "who wants jason to buy street fighter II" jar needs to be installed. When I found out that they raised the amount from $250 to $300 the small amount of time I have to raise it, I felt hot under my clothes like you do when its halloween sunday and you barely study for mondays test because you wanted to have fun at the playhouse party.
2.) Another thing brought to my attention today.....uh nope thats it just the funding issue.

Day 14

The other day I was looking at a youtube video which consisted of all the clips dealing with Rocky training, just to see what I should be doing. I saw him punch meat, and him doing a one handed push up. So today my bosses left and I decided to do a one handed push up in my office. I got down on the floor and did one.Immediately I heard two cracks, one from my lower back and the other was......well......I can only say was my... my bert...I have no idea where it came from or what the part was so I can only make up a word...so I cracked my bert. Oh and about the meat, when I got home I punched my meat and egg sandwich. I did not go to the gym today, because I did 5 straight hours of manual labor today at work and on a stomach of two energy bars, who knows but man my abs are getting strong.

Day 13...Can that be right?

The image you see above is my ticket to success, today I realized I better dust off my bike because I have a big bike race to complete. Now look closely, it has one hand brake installed while the other you can see hanging by the front wheel. The seat which is key is noticeably not attached, not only not attached I have no idea where it is. Oh, and my front wheel is bent because I took a nasty crash into a stop sign last year . A typical racing bicycle starts at $2,000 and is very lightweight and is usually bought at a high end bike shop. Mine on the other hand was $60.00, its heavy and was bought near the totem pole at neshaminy mall from a guy off craigslist out of the back of his pick up truck. We both had the look on our face like "is he going to kill me"? I think I need to step it up in my training starting...............tommorow.

Day 12

Quick ideas for today

1.) I took an online test to calculate my body fat percentge. It said I have 14% body fat, which it then broke down the numbers and said I have 22 pounds of fat and 148 pounds of lean muscle. I know I should be depressed about this, but the idea of 148 pounds of "lean muscle" made me feel like a machine.
2.) It seems like every time I feel like I am ready for this bike race, I get an email from the bike race legend Lance Armstrong and he refers to me as "none" and it knocks me down a peg. As if Armstrong is saying you are none downs , you are nobody.
3.) I biked 7 miles in 20 minutes today, this calculates to 21 miles an hour. I will be technically done this race in 5 hours. I believe I will finish in 10 hours. And by "finish" I mean mom and dad come find me passed out somewhere near the cranilith.

Day 11

So much to do so little time. Today I went to the gym and did the bike machine which seemed like something I should be doing. I pressed the cardio button on the machine which I guess means it will try to make your heart explode. I did 5 minutes and had to stop because my legs barely could move the pedals....mind you I have to bike 8 hours straight at a constant 12 miles an hour. I just hope the actual city to shore course is not on "cardio" mode. Also this morning I went to work with my typical tight pants on with my 10 pound leg weights on, I looked like I was trying to hide giant chain gang shackles under my pant cuffs. I played along though and asked "Permission to get a drink boss". All said and done I biked a little , walked around like frankenstein, did some crunches, and barely ate, not bad for my 11th day of training don't you think?

Day one

I went on the website for the MS City to Shore Bike tour an found out that the Tour is actually on October 3....so this is actually day 10. I have to train seriously for the next 20 days, because I have to bike real far. To put it in perspective the farthest I ever biked was 10 miles and that was me at my best, I am currently working at 60% of my best and even that is 90% a lie. So on my first day of training what did I do I went to a Green Fest in Center City, and ate a soy based beef jerky and will possibly do sit up later.
